The MHS College Fair is Monday evening. 7:00 – 8:30p in the Marcus cafeteria. Over 50 colleges, universities, and other schools will be represented. This is a great way for sophomores and juniors to begin the college process.

The next Parent Education Program (PEP) is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The topic is Creating Resilient Teens—Teaching our kids how to cope. A parent, student, and local therapist will share information on helping kids cope with stress and depression. They will also share their personal stories.
The session begins at 6:00 P.M. in the Marcus Main Library.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the LISD Board of Trustees held a workshop to discuss the Gifted and Talented and Communication Audit findings and next steps for implementation. During this meeting, these documents and presentations were discussed.

Students attending the career centers have the opportunity to obtain industry certifications that prepare them for the workplace. The LISD Career Centers will help in achieving the highest levels of preparation to help students become college and career ready.
