Rally Day 2023

Action Alert!

Legislators will hear a total of five voucher bills Wednesday, March 22, 2023: SB 8, SB 176, SB 960, SB 2354, and SB 2483. Let’s make sure they know our position first!

Texas PTA believes these bills will hurt children who attend our already underfunded public schools. As such, we oppose legislation that authorizes state funds to be used to pay for private school tuition and related costs.

We urge our members to tell Texas legislators: No matter what you call them, Vouchers are bad for Texas children!

In a hurry? Use our prewritten message to communicate by email, tweet or phone.

Have a little more time? Add your personal story about how underfunding has already impacted your children and how further loss of funds by way of Vouchers or Education Savings Accounts would impact your family specifically. Only you can tell your story, now is the time to be heard!

Thank you for giving Texas public school children a voice!
