The recipients of the Marcus PTSA scholarships must be 2022 graduates and members of Marcus PTSA their senior year (prior to January 31, 2022) as well as one additional year as a student member. Please note, parent memberships can’t be substituted for student membership eligibility requirements.
If you’ve already applied to LEF this year and meet the Marcus PTSA criteria you are all set. If you have not applied to LEF, don’t delay and click the button below to apply.

Please complete the MHS PTSA 2021 Scholarship Application in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please note the deadline March 26, 2021 at 5:00PM CST, late submissions will not be accepted.
Send the completed application along with your MHS 2021 Official Transcript (from Skyward) as an attachment to scholarships@marcusptsa.org.

For more than a century, Texas PTA’s primary goal has been to support Texas students and faculty members in reaching their full potential through continuing education. More than $500,000 has been awarded to graduating high school seniors and faculty members since the scholarship program began.
With $25,000 available each year, Texas PTA awards $1000 to eligible high school seniors and up to $500 scholarships to eligible faculty members at any school level that has a PTA/PTSA on their campus. These scholarships are made possible by the commitment of our half a million members and volunteers who understand that creating an environment of active, engaged families can make the difference in education.
In keeping with our work in building strong family-school partnerships, Texas PTA’s scholarship process focuses on the impact an applicant’s family, teachers, and PTA have had on their goals to continue their education or training.

Attention Seniors –
Time is getting close for applying for the Marcus PTSA Senior Scholarships. To apply for the scholarship, you must be a member of the Marcus PTSA by January 31, 2018. There are two ways to join the Marcus PTSA and memberships are $15.
Navigate to http://www.joinpta.org/ then choose Lewisville ISD and Marcus PTSA. There is a convenience fee to join on line.
We will also have a representative at Marcus in front of the counselor office Friday January 26, 2018 from 7:30 am – 8:15 am and you can fill out an application and pay to join the PTSA. Please bring either a check or exact change.
The scholarship applications are due Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 4:00 pm. The application will be available at https://marcusptsa.org/senior-scholarship/ on February 1, 2018 @ 8:00 am.
What Colleges Want in an Applicant (Everything)
The admissions process is a maddening mishmash of competing objectives, and an attempt to measure the unmeasurable: you. No, it isn’t fair, and likely never will be.
The admissions process is out of whack. Just ask the heartbroken applicant, rejected by her dream school. Ask high school counselors, who complain that colleges don’t reward promising students for their creativity, determination or service to others. Even the gatekeepers at some famous institutions acknowledge, quietly, that the selection system is broken.
